How do I update the software?

Follow these steps to update your GeneCount Voyager Software:

1. Download the Latest GeneCount Voyager Software (V2.0.0 RC 20231026)
2. Copy the installation files to a USB key
3. Insert the USB key into the USB port in the GeneCount Voyager and run the installer
   
   
   
   
4. Select the components (Genecount Voyager and PcrServer), then press Next.
   
   
   
   
5. Select create a desktop shortcut, then press Next.
   
   
   
   
6. The next screen is the prompt for Ready to Install, press Next.
   
   
   
   
7. Once installation is complete, verify the application version SYSTEM → ABOUT. The correct version should be FQD-16a V2.0.0 RC 20231026.
   
   
   
   
8. Last, verify that the qKit Report Wizard path is correctly set. Open a past experiment file, and select the Export tab from the right side menu. If the qKit Exe Path is blank, select the ellipsis to reset the path to where qKit Report Wizard is installed. By default, this should be: 
   

   C:\Program Files (x86)\qKit Report Wizard\qKit-Report-Wizard.exe
   
   Note: If you do not have a past experiment file available, you can check this when your next experiment is complete.
