LifeCheck ATP Test Kits
1. Planktonic Kit
- Designed for liquid samples where microbes are free-floating (referred to as “planktonic”).
- Ideal for testing water, production fluids, brines, emulsions, and other water-based liquids.
2. Sessile Kit
- Designed for solid or surface samples where microbes are immobile (referred to as “sessile”).
- Tailored for biofilms, corrosion sites, scale, viscous fluids, and solid surfaces.
- Includes multiple testing procedures to suit different sample characteristics:
- Solids Soak Test: Ideal for solids or scrapings like scale and corrosion product.
- Solids Swab Test: Designed for surfaces such as corrosion coupons, equipment sites, or pipelines.
- Viscous Fluid Test: Optimized for heavy, gel-like, or viscous samples such as fracturing fluids, pigging sludge, and heavy oils.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Kit

2. Sample Characteristics
- Viscous Fluid Test : For fluids difficult to filter, such as viscous or gel-like substances

- Solids: Require at least 5 grams of material.
